I love to bake - it's a hobby, I don't pretend to be an expert. I bake often; although not as often as I want. Honestly, I would bake most days if I had something to do with the final product that didn't include adding to my stubbornly jiggly thighs. These days, I tend to save baking for the random paying customer or for special events where I can spread the love and the calories. My ultimate dream is to open a retail bakery where I can experiment with different ideas and watch people enjoy my creations. But for now, my husband makes a willing guinea pig and an honest yet gentle critic.
In preparation for that day when I open a bakery and corresponding website, I take pictures of my creations to use for visual appeal. And because I don't have a business or a website, I post pictures of my baked goods on Facebook. It has recently become obvious to me that while I enjoy seeing flaky pie crust and moist chocolate cake on Facebook, others might not be interested. Therefore, I am creating this blog as an outlet for my vain desire to share photos of the sweet concoctions created in my kitchen with a dream to be consumed by the world. It's likely no one will read this blog as I have no intention of sharing its existence with anyone. It's really not about other people seeing or being impressed, it's really just an outlet for my passion, my desire and my hopes.
